KPSA 3.4 introduced by Kabira
(Worldwide Computer Products News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
Kabira Technologies Inc, a provider of high-performance transaction
processing software for global enterprises, announced on Thursday (3
July) the release of the 3.4 version of its Kabira Provisioning and
Service Activation product (KPSA).
According to the company, the new version has been designed to enable
faster service provisioning, easier monitoring and greater flexibility
by simplifying how complex product offerings and services are handled.
The solution is deployed on 2G to 3G+ and broadband networks (DSL,
optical fibre, and Wi-Fi), and is currently in development phase for
IMS and WiMAX.
Changes in how the solution communicates asynchronously with legacy
network elements, provisioning systems and enterprise middleware,
reportedly enable service providers to rapidly introduce new services
for a larger number of end users. In addition, increases in system
throughput and reduction in processing latency contribute to
accelerating internal handling of synchronous processing requests
associated with self-provisioning applications. The new release also
features a fully integrated alarm forwarding capability for SNMP
network managers.
KPSA has been shown to be able to provision up to 210 service orders
per second on Linux-based, 2 x 2Ghz dual core Opteron systems with a
latency of under 200ms, the company claims.
The new release is available on Solaris 10.x, Linux x86 and Redhat 5.
No pricing details were disclosed.
